Introduction	I am one of the founding members of The LaStraw, Inc. serving as Executive Director since the organization was founded in Guilford County, NC, May 23, 2013. Our mission is to create an accessible network of human and social services empowering people living in low income areas to improve their quality of life. The LaStraw, Inc. began as an all-volunteer organization - committed to maintaining autonomy - as we identify the needs, people willing to work towards eliminating identified need and securing funding necessary for work towards eliminating identified need to be sustained long term.
