Growing up in the 1960s in a Garment Center family, I was sewing at age five, knitting at seven, crocheting at 11, and designing clothes at 12. All except the last were perfectly normal for my generation. I was introduced to computers in 1967, when Dad switched fields from matching inks. Dad taught me colors early and in detail, though I never had to use that training until I started working at Michaels. |
