About me

Introduction Hi, I am a right whale research scientist for the New England Aquarium. I spend six months of the year performing field research in both the Bay of Fundy and the coastal waters of the Southeastern United States. The other six months I spend my time processing data for the North Atlantic right whale catalog. The catalog contains all the documented North Atlantic right whales sightings dating back to 1935! I graduated from Suffolk University in 2006 and shortly after began working as an intern on the Right Whale Research Project at the New England Aquarium. I was invited to join the team full-time in August of 2007. It was an experience of a life-time! I recently finished my third field season performing systematic boat based surveys in the right whale critical habitat in the Bay of Fundy and am currently in the midst of analyzing all of the data we collected.
