Having represented recreational anglers as a stakeholder on the Fisheries Management Zone 17 Council, it has offered new perspective in the different insights viewed as important in a diverse fishery. Anglers have different opinions than tourism operators, who have different opinions than biologists, etc. There is a balance but we need to communicate to increase the benefit to the resource and the users. Getting youth interested in the outdoors should be a priority of all groups. Do something you will be remembered for..take a kid fishing. |
