Why don't you ever wear a scarf? It doesn't need to be cold outside for your neck to feel naked.
I wear a scarf constantly in winter, usually one loose-knit, with thick yarn, wrapped three times around my neck. I have a scarf collection, and scarves are my first line of defense against the cold. Protecting your neck extends your summer--take it from someone transplanted from Bangkok to New England.
