| Introduction | I surrendered a daughter for adoption in 1966. We have been reunited since 1997. I married my wonderful husband in 1968 and we have three daughters, born in 1972, 1974, and 1977. I am fortunate in having four fine children. I am an inactive member of the Oregon State Bar and retired from the State of Oregon. I have served on the boards of Concerned United Birthparents and Origins-USA. I am working on reforming Oregon's adoption laws including adding provisions which would assure parents have the time and information to make informed decisions about adoption for their child. I support efforts in other states to allow adult adoptees access to their original birth certificates which Oregon has allowed since 2000 with no reported problems. |
