Introduction	马丁叔叔博客 Martinshushu in Mandarin language loosely translates as "Uncle Martin." Martin Pitts has worked as a producer and director and writer in all aspects of documentary motion pictures and television. From a BA in Political Science and graduate school work in Economics at Tulane University Pitts came to writing and acting for stage. After a move to Miami for CBS and the Wometco Theater Company, he later founded his own independent production companies. Pitts directed full length documentary shows and documentary segments for all major networks in the USA, in the UK and Japan. He wrote, staged and directed original plays with the Writers and Directors Unit of the Actors Studio. Pitts taught for UCLA Extension, the USC film school, and in Hollywood for International Film Workshops and Steinlein Productions Munich, Germany. Recently his stage play "The Dream Lady" was chosen for workshop reading by Calarts Redcat Theater at the Disney Hall downtown. Pitts was a panelist for the 2013 Hollywood Black Film Festival.
