Introduction	The quick down and dirty on us. I retired from the Navy a few years ago, and Susan is retired from the UK Police, Liverpool to be precise. We have no kids, but 2 dogs, an Australian Terrier named Harley, and mixed terrier that was a rescue dog that we named Rascal (far more fitting than the name they gave him...Henry). We both love to travel, but after retiring at an early age from our respective services, got caught up in the big house, lots of "stuff" mentality that permeates our society. Over the years we kept talking about dropping everything and traveling, but ALWAYS found an EXCUSE not to. Finally, we identified our excuses for exactly what they were. What really pushed us forward with our plans was the continued loss of friends, family, and others around us to the perils of life, be it accidents, cancer (mainly), or just seeing the day-to-day drudgery of playing the game of life tied to money and possessions on everyone's faces....including ours. At some point during our usual "what if..." travel conversation, we made the decision to quit talking about it and just do it. So, here we go. We'll see where we end up!!!
