| Introduction | In May 2009, Josh Love and Marshall Thompson both invited me to join in a think-tank conversation on New Monasticism. After a couple of meetings, I was skeptical but fascinated. I left Abilene that month to spend the summer with family in Houston and upon my arrival back to the 'lene, Marshall introduced me to the men of Allelon (Aaron, Ben, Josh, & Wes). All in all, I seem to just stumble around life trying to live as best as I can survive but God has dropped me into groups of friends that consumed me. It is nothing that I have done. I didn't search for these people. I didn't complete some survey to qualify me for admission to know these servants. I just stumbled along and landed on their doorstep. I am not in this community by any action I have done, so that I may not brag but I've been invited in as a gift from God and these blessed souls I call friends. |
