| Introduction | I have spent the last 30 years being involved with lawn bowls in some way, shape or form. For the last 20 years I have been the owner of Bowls World. Over the last 10 years Bowlsworld has been largely responsible for bringing the sale of Lawn Bowls to the Internet, Our first fully ecommerce site was online 1999. We now ship bowls all over the World, and sell more bowls then any other company in the UK. I have personally sold 1000's of sets of bowls over the years, which has given me a good knowledge on most of the bowls made over the last 20 years, you could say I am a bit of an anorak,but its my job. When it comes to how they are made, what they are made from,what they will do, what they were made for, how they will feel, the sizes they are made in, the differance in weights, how they will re-act on different speed greens, and on different playing surfaces and so on. Playing bowls at the highest level,might mean you are an experienced player, but dosent always mean you would know what bowls are available,to best advise someone to buy, that comes with years of experience listening to your many questions and concerns, which I have had the great privledge to do. |
