| Introduction | My name is Daniel Bauman and I grew up in the rural parts of Iowa which helped build my creative mind by forcing me to use my imagination and observe nature as art all around us. My art is myself releasing my emotion and the chaotic but corky imagination from my mind onto some kind of surface. When I’m painting or drawing I am in my happy place, a place where I can put my headphones on, turn my I-pod to shuffle and just let go of everything onto a canvas or what ever I’m painting or drawing on. I see my art as expressionistic and is a step into my mind. I don’t do art to please others, I do it because it’s something I love and enjoy. If someone enjoys my work that’s a great joy, if someone has some issues and wants to tell me, go ahead and tell me because I love to be critiqued, if someone just plainly doesn’t like my stuff, oh well that’s the art world. Taking it all in, it helps you build on your strengths and help you work on your weaknesses. |
