| Introduction | Born in Sydney just in time to celebrate my first birthday a year later, I left home at age 20. It only took me 22 years to return to Sydney. During that time, I lived up and down the east coast of Australia, as well as in Europe and the US for a little while. I started my career as a chef – lasting 11 years – then after more studies became an office boy with a comfy chair, air-conditioning and regular hours. But I lost almost all opportunity to be creative – and the need to be creative is something that lingers. Long story short, one day I started cartooning and writing on the couch. I got excited. I sketched some more cartoons and I wrote some more stuff. Now I can’t stop. Writing and cartooning are where I really feel at home, and can truly be myself. |
