Introduction	Psychological Profile: Owing to a single-minded drive since childhood for a career in science, this Dad was long uncomfortable with emotion, hugs and the color pink. Although, his near debilitating phobia of children has dissipated since having his own, he still maintains an unhealthy fear of Emmanuel Lewis. Lingering throughout the Dad’s life is a series of unsuccessful romantic relationships, stemming in part from his introspective nature and his self-professed desire to avoid commitment. That is until he met the Wife. Part of the Dad's private nature includes difficulty in confronting deep personal issues, which tend to become suppressed and “placed in the deep dark place”. Aside from this, the Dad keeps a healthy outlook on life with a wide variety of interests, including his near-professional pursuit of archeology, detective fiction, Shakespearean drama, planetary motion and semantics. Has no interest in politics, dance or small animals. Medical history: The Dad enjoys great health, thanks to a regimen from his days as a mathlete. He still finds time for fencing, tobogganing and equine sports, but does tend to overwork, avoids vacations, and was once formerly declared dead.
