| Introduction | I am a mother of two children, Emma (8) and Jack (6). I have been married for 13 years to Brian. I grew up in South Carolina but live in California now. I have a M.Ed. and a J.D. I am currently staying at home with my children, writing, and volunteering in their public school and our community. The single most influential event in my life was the year I spent in Istanbul, Turkey as an AFS exchange student in 1984. I value my family and education above all else. |
