Introduction	About 18 months ago I decided to head to South Korea to teach English as a second language. Having graduated from university with a degree in English studies, I realised that there was very little call for 10,000 word essays on Jane Austen, so I decided that I wanted to travel and teach abroad. In retrospect, I knew exactly what I didn't want and (with the exception of my friends and family) it was everything surrounding me at the time. Looking back, I think there was a danger that I was feeling the pull of accepting a life which was very much mediocre and convenient rather than inspiring. Anyway, it was always my intention to have a blog so that those of you who are interested could know about life in Korea and here it is....
