About me

Introduction As of this writing, I've been vegan for about 2 years and (lacto-ovo) vegetarian for 3 years previous to that. It took me a VERY long time to get to where I am today as far as my choice in diet, with many years previously spent researching the vegetarian lifestyle. I don't think it's a decision anyone should come to spontaneously but I do think that once one has gained all the facts and starts to get a real understanding of how the world work (especially pertaining to what we eat) it becomes much easier and much more necessary to make those changes in one's life. Most people's gut reaction is to say, "Well you're just doing it because you love those cute furry little animals too much (freak)!" I actually don't personally like most animals, believe it or not. I don't own any pets because I just don't want the responsibility, pests such as mice and such piss me off just as much as anyone else and, yes, cows and pigs and actually MOST animals smell REALLY bad. That doesn't mean I don't still believe they all have the same rights to life and happiness that humans have. Even so, this is NOT the only reason I'm vegan. To find out more, read the blog.
