GenderFemale
Occupationghostwriter and author of historical fiction
LocationMilwaukee, WI, United States
IntroductionI work full-time as a ghostwriter and love every second of it. I am constantly meeting new people and getting involved in new projects. Being a ghostwriter is fantastic because I am always learning something new. However, my favorite thing about the job is more philosophical; I like the idea of being able to give a literary voice to people who may not have one otherwise. Many people have great ideas for a book or an important story to share but do not feel they are able to write it themselves. That is where I step in by taking the author's thoughts and ideas and put them into literary form. I also dream of getting my own work published. I love ancient history and politics, so my work will concentrate on those two subjects. I like the idea of writing fiction that is heavily based on history so that people learn a little something as they go through the story.
InterestsI love writing, jewelry deisgn, travelling, cooking, ancient history, collecting fossils, volunteering in the nursery at my Church, working on political campaigns, and just enjoying life!
Favorite moviesI'm a huge Lord of the Rings fan. I have read the books since I was a kid and the movies are wonderful. I tend to go for historical epics and romantic comedies (You've Got Mail, Return to Me, The Wedding Date, Under the Tuscan Sun, etc.) but I also enjoy a good drama like Atonement.
Favorite musicI like everything and anything (well, not rap). I do tend to be drawn to Christian Contemporary music and artists like Enya and Loreena McKennit (Celtic)....but I don't have a problem mixing in some modern popular artists like Rihanna!
Favorite booksI am a writer so I spend a lot time reading! While I'm reading a lot of non-fiction right now, I do love a good novel. When I start to think of authors or titles to put in this little box my head starts to spin with all of the things I could list, so I'll leave it at "I spend a lot of time reading" for now!

If you were a pirate, how would you avoid laughing when saying 'poop deck'?

I don't think I could! However, I have to admit that I didn't really think to much about this question. I read the word "pirate" and went immediately into a Johnny Depp daydream.
