| Introduction | I am the product of a generation born into the earliest days of mass consumerism; just after the time when there wasn't much worth buying, just before the time when things you bought actually worked as described. An age before quality control and consumer rights. An age when manufacturers would shrug off your complaint, saying "Well, what do you expect for your money?"
