| Introduction | I am an Ohio University Beth Stocker Cutler Scholar. I study economics, with a focus on development and the environment. The Cutler Scholars Program is a four year merit based scholarship awarded on the basis of academic excellence, leadership potential and a commitment to civic responsibility. The scholarship program is centered around quarterly colloquium sessions on timely issues in politics, science and society in general. In addition each scholar embarks on four enrichment experiences: Outward Bound, volunteer, internship and study abroad. For my study abroad experience I have chosen to travel to Thailand. I am participating in a program offered through CIEE on development and globalization. |
