| Introduction | Stefan Schilling is a M.A. student at the University of Heidelberg, Germany, majoring in Political Science and Political Science of South Asia (a specialty program at the University of Heidelberg). His academic focus is on International Relations and Peace and Conflict Studies with a special focus on Nuclear Weapons Safety and Security as well as Post Conflict Reconstruction in Iraq and Afghanistan. His initial subjects of study have been Philosophy and Chinese Cultural studies, which led him to live, study and work in Shanghai, China for 8 months, establishing a interest in Asia as a whole and a more profound understanding of Chinese culture and language. Having spend several years, living and studying abroad, the most recent in 2007-2008 as an exchange student at the renowned University of Toronto focusing on Peace and Conflict Studies. Stefan has found a deep interest in establishing a balanced view of conflicts. Something he hopes to provide with this blog. Stefan will graduate from University of Heidelberg in summer 2009 and go on to pursue a PhD. |
