Introduction When one lives in a forgotten little village in a forgotten part of a mostly forgotten state in a mostly forgotten part of America, (what many of you would think of as "flyover country"), by necessity "you have to make your own fun." Yep, I say that a lot and, for the most part, I like it that way! I can't say I'm in my early 40's anymore, but I'm hardly middle aged. I occasionally try to be cool; happy most of the time that I am not. I'm married to an eccentric genius who is without peer. I'm mother to one mostly adult daughter and a mother-in-law to a Marine; even though I'm a pretty strident pacifist, I'm pleased about this union. I'm fond of my grand-dogs, Lola & Betty. My little family seems to appreciate my over-developed sense of irony; or maybe they're just humoring me. That's fine, too. My heritage is Danish--that is important. Read on, I'll tell you more about it all...
