| Introduction | After I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and successfully treated, my husband, Mike, and I bought 15 acres of arable land in Devon in 2004. (He was retiring age at the time) The land had been allowed to run wild and had been used as a dumping ground by the previous owner. Over the years we have brought the land back into good heart, set up a business breeding and selling alpacas and converted a barn into the house we now occupy. We also have an agricultural barn and a small flock of hens not to mention 3 dogs and a cat. We no longer breed alpacas to sell but still keep a smaller herd and sell their fleece and wool and hand knitted products. |
