| Introduction | I am a 65 year old daughter of a 87 year old Mom with Alzheimer's Disease who passed March 14 2011. I have been a nurse for more than 40 years &I am a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner since 1979. The last 20 years have been spent founding and operationing our dementia specific business named Harbor house (Harbor Senior Concepts). We are a family owned business including my two sons ages 40 and 43. Our mission statement is "To provide Loving Family Service through inspired Leadership". We have 3 generations of Alzheimers on my father's side. On the other side, my Mom is late in the disease. It is a "family affair" but inspite of this, Mom and I have a great time!! |
