| Introduction | Born and raised in Pasadena, Newfoundland and Labrador, I am a Mathematics PhD student at Carleton University and my aspiration is to go into academia. I am currently a Math and Stats and Grad Faculty Board rep (and Senate rep-elect) for the Graduate Students' Association - Carleton University (CFS Local 78). I did my B. Sc. in Pure Mathematics at Memorial University of Newfoundland, spending 2 years in Corner Brook, Newfoundland at Sir Wilfred Grenfell College and the remaining 3 years at the main campus in St. John's, Newfoundland. I was a councillor for two years on the Grenfell College Students' Union (GCSU - CFS Local 36) Council, as well as a councillor/director for the Memorial University of Newfoundland Students Union (MUNSU - CFS Local 35) Council for two years. I did my Master's at the University of Waterloo, where I also served as Pure Mathematics rep for the Graduate Student Association - University of Waterloo (GSA-UW), served as a Vice-President for 16 months and chaired the Graduate Student Issues Committee of CASA (Canadian Alliance of Student Associations) during that time. I am a non-partisan and am always open to the idea that I could be wrong. |
