| Introduction | I'm a mature woman who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005. It changed my life in so many ways. Since then, I have experienced a "skin sparing" mastectomy, a surgery replacing a leaking expander along with a breast lift on the other, non-cancerous breast, another surgery to put in the implant, and then another surgery because I didn't like the way that implant looked. From all these, I learned that I wanted to talk with other women who have gone through this on some level or another, to share my experiences, emotional and physical, medical, including supporting other people (men get breast cancer, too) who have had experiences with breast cancer, and women who have had both restorative and elective plastic. I think we need all the support we can get. I invite your comments. |
