Introduction	My name is Amelia Thompson and I teach 1st grade. I have been teaching for 6 years (all being 1st grade), with the exception of one year I spent a few months as a K-1 como teacher. I love teaching and learning new ideas. I am hoping that this blog will allow me to share things that I am trying in my class and be a source of new ideas to others, just as others' blogs have done for me. I am married to my wonderful husband, Erik, who is very supportive of my career choice and understanding of the long hours both at work and home that I dedicate to my classroom :)
