My blogs
| Introduction | I'm younger than thirty. I've lived and traveled in China, Uganda, Europe, and Korea. My family teases that I can't seem to keep my feet on American soil for more than a year at a time. I absolutely love the people I've met and lived among. Yet I retain a deep love for my homeland of the United States of America. Why? Many say that our culture is defined as freedom. I agree. But it is more. A great mentor once taught me, "the culture of America is truth seeking. This is why we value freedom." Only in freedom do we have the opportunity to seek truth. The only problem is that so often, we forget that this is what freedom is for. It is to seek and then to follow the truth. Freedom, not license, is the culture that I love. This is why I always love to come home after I have lived away. |
