| Introduction | I've been photographing and painting since I was ten. My father was an avid consumer photographer and he gave me my first Kodak instamatic for Christmas one year. Thirty years later he would leave me his own camera equipment just before his death, but not without taking the time to show me how to use it, lenses and all. Maybe he knew there was a connection between my love for painting and photography. Today I am a wife, mother and grandmother and I still love to put an image together. I also have a desire to take what I have learned and try to explain it to someone the way I wish all those technical books had explained it to me. There is no substitute for practice, alot of lights go on in those struggles, but it sure helps to have a grasp at what is going on before you start. |
