About me

Introduction	Your instructor lives in Kenly, where he publishes Kenly News, Pine Level News, The Selma News and Wilson's Mills News, all weekly, community newspapers. He graduated from Atlantic Christian College in 1971 with a BA degree in history but got his start in journalism by serving as a sports writer for The Collegiate. He later attended the College of Journalism at the University of South Carolina, where he received his masters in journalism. He's worked for the Wilson Daily Times and The Greensboro Record before purchasing Kenly News in 1981. He started teaching at Barton in 2002. His wife Karen works with him at the newspapers. He has two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Jeanne, and Mark and Brandy. He also has a granddaughter, Sarah Grace.
