Introduction | I live and work in Lexington, Kentucky as a Graduate Research Fellow in English at the University of Kentucky, where I am a PhD Candidate in English and Social Theory. In May of 2013, I earned my MA in English from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, where I taught Freshman Composition and wrote a Masters Thesis exploring the concept of justice in the later works of Flannery O'Connor. In the past, I have also worked promoting Service-Learning in Higher Education, working as Coordinator for the Bonner Scholars Program at Carson-Newman University through a grant from the Bonner Foundation in Princeton, New Jersey. |
Interests | Post-WWII US Literature, Social and Literary Theory, Ethics, Appalachian/Southern Literature and Culture, Community-Engaged Teaching, and Visual Narratives. |
