Introduction	Carole Jakucs, MSN, RN, PHN, CDCES, is a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, Writer, and Registered Nurse in Southern California. She also holds both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She's worked in a variety of healthcare settings with tenures in management, patient care and clinical and patient education. Prior to becoming a writer and RN, Carole had careers in sales in the airline and beauty industries, and as a SAG and AFTRA member she appeared on TV and radio in shows and commercials. She studied Tang Soo Do Karate, jazz, tap, ballet, acrobatics, hip hop, piano, voice, theater arts and oil painting. She's also an avid birdwatcher.
