| Introduction | We met while working together at a local medical practice. We soon discovered that despite our age difference, we share the same interest in people, society, insane and criminal behavior and what makes dysfunctional people tick. We both had longed to join a book club for many years but not your typical book club. Focusing on non-fiction books about the lost, forgotten, dejected, abused, unloved, or misunderstood, this book club is open to anyone interested. A new book will be assigned during the discussion of the current book and suggestions are certainly welcome. Thanks for stopping by! |

| Favorite books | Our first book for this book club is "Bastard Out of Carolina" by Dorothy Allison which was appropriate to the "theme" of our book club. We'll see where it goes from there... |
