Introduction	Phil Torres (born 1982) has a MS in neuroscience and spent a year as a visiting graduate student in the philosophy department at Harvard. He’s published numerous papers in academic journals like Erkenntnis, Metaphilosophy, Foresight and the Journal of Evolution and Technology; he is also an Affiliate Scholar at the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies, where he writes about the philosophical implications of advanced technologies. In addition, Phil is the creative force behind the experimental folk band Baobab (www.baobabtheband.com).
Interests	Music, philosophy, neuroscience, anthropology, evolutionary biology, cosmology and physics.
