| Introduction | Hi! My name is Emmett. My mom gave me this new name when she adopted me. My name used to be Buck. I like Emmett much better. I used to live in Alabama with my dad until one Saturday morning we went for a ride in the car the next thing I knew I was in the hospital and my dad died. Something happened to my dad while he was driving and we crashed into a tree. His family couldn’t take care of me but some really nice people fixed my broken leg and nursed me back to health. I was so sad about my dad and I couldn’t even go for walks or play because my leg wouldn’t heal. Try being on crate rest when you’re a puppy. After a long recovery in Alabama (almost 6 months) they found a foster home (my mom) for me in NY with Homeward Bound Dog Rescue. I didn’t know at the time but mom was planning on adopting me because I was so cute. When I got to NY I was limping on my back leg so I went to a specialist to be checked out. After exam and x-rays it confirmed I needed surgery on my hip. The car accident caused my bones not to grow properly. So I am all fixed up now and have the scars to prove it. I think they make me look tough. I love my forever home in NY. |

| Favorite movies | The Twilight Saga-I am named after Emmett Cullen....yes mom likes the vampires. The dogs she had before me were named after Spike and Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel. Kellan Lutz is the actor that plays Emmett. Mom REALLY likes him and he rescues dogs too! |
