| Introduction | I'm a maker. I print also, but my main love is making books. I'm a pretty big fan of writing also and I delve into cloth and sewing at times - but it's the books I love. I do these bookish and papery things under the name of "Olive and the Volcano" and I'm often off doing the markets around Northern NSW in Australia. I run some workshops also, sell things via retail and have a couple of online stores. Everything I make exists as small-runs, limited editions and one-offs. I use recycled materials and mostly print monotypes, so once that series of work is gone, that's it. I live just out of Uki in Northern NSW, Australia, a tiny creative mecca at the base of Wollumbin (Mt Warning), and I try to combine motherhood with making, like all creative mothers, I strive to juggle both in the pursuit of a creative life. |
