| Introduction | My husband Gerry and I have been married for 42 years. Our two married sons have given us 9 grandchildren and we have two more on the way. Chad and Julie have 8 children,5 girls and 3 boys, with number 9 on the way. Matt and Kathy have one girl with number two on the way. We are blessed. I retired from 34 years of teaching school in May of 2008. I taught music for 4 years, then after a recess to have my children, I returned to the education scene and taught GED classes for 30 years. 20 of those years, I taught in county jails. 12 of those years I taught in the cellblocks and used a grocery cart for my desk. Thus, my first book is now published - "Fearless Teaching from a Grocery Cart." |
