| Introduction | Growing up in a very close family (both immediate and extended), I find life to be very difficult living so far from "home." "Chicago" has become home in many ways, and I'll miss living here (already starting to feel some sadness about that as we count down to our big move), but I will dearly love being closer to family. I have more in life than I could've dreamed possible with an amazing and supportive husband and two awesome boys. God has truly blessed my life, yet He challenges me every day. I never dreamed that I would be able to stay at home with my kids, and I do love that our life has afforded us this luxury. However, this is the most challenging role I've ever encountered (being the stereotypical "Type A" person that I am). I'm learning to appreciate many of the ways that I'm being stretched and the growth that I'm seeing in myself, but it's a road I have to choose to take every day. That said, I'm so thankful for my husband and his love, patience, and understanding. I couldn't and wouldn't want to do this life without him! |
