Introduction | I have lived, studied, & traveled in over a dozen countries, including China, Turkey, Italy, Ukraine, Swaziland, Mozambique, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Zambia, & Mexico. After completing my M.A. in '12, I furthered my education by taking more hands-on courses in wilderness survival, wilderness emergency medicine, & non-profit management in rural Zambia. (Yes, this included slaughtering animals, making shelters & tools, & literally simply surviving one week-long course in the bush called Come Back Alive.) I continued on to New Hampshire, where I completed the Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician course at SOLO School of Wilderness Medicine; then to Bronx, NY, where I studied Tactical Combat Casualty Care at the NYPD Rodman's Neck Firing Range. (And yes, I got to play hostage paintball with FBI SWAT.) While I just had a stint in New York City working at the Council on Foreign Relations, I am now back up on Baranoff Island in southeast Alaska, waiting for my next adventure (tentatively, a two-year commitment teaching in Azerbaijan, beginning in April '14). I love adventure, exploration, study, good conversation, & dance. |

You're trapped in a well with a goat and a slinky. Describe how you will escape.
I would throw up one end of the slinky up with the goat tied on so its horns would get caught on the rim of the well. Then I would pull myself up using the slinky like a rope.
