Introduction	I was born in a small town near Boston, where I was raised on a steady diet of family, politics, and the Red Sox. After graduating from Georgetown University, I spent two years in the Army, including a year in Viet Nam in the 1st Infantry Division. After I got out, I worked for the Federal government in Washington, D.C. until retirement. I have volunteered as a literacy tutor, a hot line listener and as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in need of assistance. I currently reside in a small city just far enough from Washington DC to be somewhere else.
