| Introduction | I'm just another invisible daughter from the fundamentalist Christian movement. I'm just starting to discover myself and understand who I am today and what I went through as a child. I have a broken life and I have a lot of things built up in me. I'm just trying to make my life better, work through what I've been through, and help others like me along the way. I have made a life for myself separate from my family but the road has not been easy. I had a mental breakdown. I was isolated because I had stopped talking to my friends, and I just wanted to finally succeed at something. Now I'm still trying to get back on my feet but I just have not had the strength to pursue my career again. I don't even know if I even try for my dreams anymore. It's hard to live a normal life when you are constantly having flashbacks. |
