| Introduction | The Decatur Arts Alliance is a nonprofit partnership of artists, business owners, residents and government dedicated to supporting and enhancing the arts in the city of Decatur. The DAA sponsors the annual Decatur Arts Festival as well as special art events for members only. It also provides a collaborative environment to coordinate the interests of artists, gallery owners, theater groups, dance groups and performance venues within Decatur and to help build the image of the city as a strong arts community. |
| Interests | Everything and anything going on Decatur. The whole point of this blog is to let people know all the great things going on within the four-square miles of the city (ok, we also include stuff happening in Greater Decatur as well). | Favorite movies | Emory's White Hall has frequent screenings of foreign films. Also, Indie Coffee shows indie movies once a month. Check out the blog every once in a while to see which movies you can see for free at these great locations! |
| Favorite music | Anything at Decatur CD - the best CD store in the ATL area. We'll let you know when the next instore performance is coming up. |
| Favorite books | We have so many favorite books due to the fact that the Georgia Center for the Book (based out of Decatur's Library) has a full schedule of author appearances. Plus, the Decatur Book Festival (Labor Day Weekend) brings over 100 authors to the downtown Decatur area. And then there's always Wordsmiths Books, which will be a great addition to Decatur's literary world... |
