Introduction Purna Singh Baraily is founder chairperson of Human Rights Film Center (HRFC), Nepal. HRFC is an organization which works on human rights through film and visual media. It organizes annual film festival on Human Rights, film screening, filmmaking training and film fellowship. He started ‘Nepal Human Rights International film festival (NHRIFF) in Nepal since 2010. Similarly, He is also the founder secretary and former vice-chairperson of Jagaran Media Center (JMC) which is one of the established media organizations for Dalit rights in Nepal. He has produced cinematically well appreciated historical television serial ‘DALAN” during his tenure at JMC. He has completed his degree on Cinema and human rights in European Inter University Center (EIUC) at Venice of Italy. He started his career as a journalist and has worked in weekly newspaper and monthly magazine. He was chairperson of Federation of Nepali Journalists, Lalitpur district chapter 2009-2013. Recently, he has been working as producer for "Goodbye Kathmandu" a feature film and involving on different projects of the film center.
