You've written a hit musical! How will you avoid having fame go to your head?
By starting work right away on the next musical. If we've learned anything from the Great White Way, its that there are no guarantees that your next show will be a hit. All the great composers, lyricists, and book writers have had flops. Thankfully Sondheim didn't quit after "Anyone Can Whistle" tanked on Broadway. Instead, he's kept going giving us decade after decade of amazing works.
