| Introduction | Jackson was named after his great grandfather, Gilbert Marty. We found out the sex early because Grandpa Gil had a stroke right after Christmas. If it was a boy, we knew we wanted to name him after Grandpa Gil. When we arrived at the hospital in Vancouver and told Grandpa Gil we were having a boy and that it was going to be named after him he was ecastic. So ecstatic in fact, that in his confused state following his stroke, he told everyone at the hospital that "Kristin was having my baby." Luckily, Grandpa Gil has made a great recovery and will meet Jackson soon when we travel to Vancouver in July for a visit. |
