| Introduction | I have followed college football since age seven, and living in the backyard of the Ohio State Buckeyes has made being a fan pretty easy. I've seen most of the greats, from Archie to Eddie to Troy Smith to Zeke and many in between. While an OSU fan first and foremost, I am also a fan of the sport in general. I will spend all day Saturday watching games, from noon until past midnight, much to the chagrin and frustration of my wife. I watch random games, sometimes multiple times, to see if I can pick up anything out of the ordinary or find a hidden reason why a team won or lost. I don't always go with the masses when ranking teams, and like to check out what the analytics folks are saying. Not every unbeaten team is better than every one loss team, after all. With over 30 years in the Columbus media, I have a background covering football, basketball and recruiting. So it's more than just a hobby for me. I hope that my passion for the sport is evident in this blog, and my hope is that you come along for the fun ride that is the college football season. You can even get involved!
