His varied work experience has given him a rich background for understanding the needs of companies in selecting and retaining work forces and building company organizations. His professional background has given him real and practical experience in solving growing company’s most difficult problems. As Chief Operating Officer and co-owner of Action Target, Inc., John spearheaded all sales and marketing, project management, installations and was involved in product engineering, development and manufacturing. With his partners, he was instrumental in taking sales from $6 million per year to over $34 million in a seven year period. John was highly successful as Regional Manager in Richmond, Virginia at O. C. Tanner Company. He was one of the youngest ever promoted to that position there. He increased sales in his region 300% in five years. For two years John was the lead buyer for Brazil International in Tai Pai, Taiwan, an importer. As a territory Representative for Citizen Watch Company, John earned many sales awards, including: •National New Hire of the year - 1984 •National Sales Employee of the year – 1985 John is married to Sue Curtis and the father of six perfect children Community/Other • Finalist candidate for Utah State Senate – 2003 • Finalist candidate for Utah State House of Representatives – 2006 • Former member of the Rotary, Paul Harris • Founded the "There is Enough and to Spare Foundation • Former member of the Provo/Orem Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Current Red Cross Board Member and Trustee of the Utah Valley Healthcare Foundation.
