Introduction	My passion for the visual arts blossomed at Alfred University in upstate New York, where I studied studio fine arts. Several desk jobs later, I started writing as an additional outlet for my creativity. After finishing my first manuscript through the Institute of Children’s Literature, I chose to focus on writing what I most love to read, YA books. About the same time, I moved from upstate New York where I grew up, to a small college town in the sunny south where I met my partner and fell in love. I feel fortunate to divide my time between writing, painting and wrestling with my big dog.
Interests	Abstract expressionist painting, female musicians, YA books, the big dog at my feet, cute shoes, nail polish, hiking, feeding the birds, live plays and musicals.

Favorite music	The Scrubs Sound track, The Fray, Pink, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Adele, Macklemore, Fun and lots more.
Favorite books	LOTR, So Yesterday, Piratica, Wintergirls, Thirteen Reasons, Windblowne and so many more.
