Introduction My name is Alue Dohong and I refer myself as an environmentalist with particular interest on issues of tropical peatlands restoration and rehabilitation, socio-economic of climate change, REDD+, Carbon Market, Clean Development Mechanism, community development, environmental policy development, environmental education, and environmental advocacy and awareness. I have been involved in tropical peatlands restoration and rehabilitation activities in many provinces in Indonesia for over than 15 years and I have shared my knowledge and experience on these issues through various seminars, workshops, symposiums, scientific meetings, technical trainings etc in many countries such as Asia, Europe, Africa, America and Australia. Finally, I have served as Deputy for Construction, Operation and Maintenance at Indonesia's Peatland Restoration Agency (Badan Restorasi Gambut) for almost 3 years prior my new assignment as Vice Minister for Environment and Forestry, Republic of Indonesia in October 2019. I received master degree on environmental management from School of Geography, Nottingham University and PhD from the University of Queensland Australia.
