| Introduction | I was first diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in November 2009, triggered by a bought with Lyme Disease in August 2009. I started this blog because I want to share how having fibromyalgia affects my everyday life. But 10 months in, I have discovered that my biggest focus has been trying to find as much holistic and alternative medicine as I can, and not have to rely too much on prescription meds (there are a few I have had to resort to, at low doses, until I can find more holistic methods!) I am not a complainer type and most of the time I try to wear a smile, so most who know me probably don't realize what is behind it all - my daily struggles, pains, fatigue. I am not looking for sympathy, at all, I just want people to have a better understanding of fibromyalgia and how it effects sufferers on a constant, daily basis. It never goes way, and we rarely even *look* sick, so it can be very misunderstood. It is so complex and varying that I feel a blog is a good way to express what its like to live with FM and especially to share the research and info I am finding! I welcome any comments, suggestions etc. |
