| Introduction | Hope for the Island is a mission that formed as a result of a short term mission trip to the Philippines. Derek Van Ryckeghem (Hope for the Island Director) was on this Youth with a Mission (YWAM) team that first entered the Island of Siargao proclaiming the gospel.Derek is married to his wife Jennifer and has two children Makana and Brison. The vision has been caught by other local believers who have partnered with Hope for the Island. In total Hope for the Island has 15 staff who faithfully serve to bring hope to an island in desperate need of Jesus! |
